How to wipe my iPhone clean before selling?

i'm going to sell my old iphone 5, but i'm worried that somebody could recover my personal data from once they got my phone, so, is there a way that could erase data on iPhone completely without recovery?

Connect your phone to power, go to Settings app > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings again.

iPhones are very good about wiping personal data clean.

It seems a factory reset is not enough to permanently delete the data. There is a CNET report about that.

Ask the FBI about getting anything off of a wiped iPhone.

A search only showed a 2008 report on CNET about this. Can you show anything more recent? Since all but the oldest iPhones (at least since the 4, maybe 3GS) have hardware encryption, a wipe erases the key causing the data to be unrecoverable.
I gave into temptation, and bought the iPhone X, even though I had a perfectly good, though oversized, 7+.

    Here is what Apple suggests:

Q: Would you patronize a streetwalker?

A: No, I would treat her as an equal.
