    $50 Year Airtime Discontinued?

I just purchased a 90 day 180 bucket card for my wife's phone for $19.99 online and also added a $5.00/1000 text. I never got the $50 one year airtime offer. Has that been discontinued?

I'm still seeing the offer if I try to buy airtime for a smartphone.

Just tried a mock purchase of a $19.99 paygo card and the $50/1 yr. option showed up for me.

Try it with a browser that doesn't have pop-up and Ad blockers, and with Flash enabled. I have to do that to get the chat link.

How much time does the phone have now?

I remember not getting the offer when I had lots of days left.

It would have run out 8/17/17. Next time I'll wait til a few days before expiration, and disable pop-up blockers.

That's not much at all. I was thinking 9 months or more.

    Some other issue then.

You plan to wait to the last minute, and then do what if it is not offered any longer?
Why didn`t you purchase the following $50 Tracfone/Verizon bundle and transfer your service to activate the new phone with its 1200/1200/1200/365 Days?

Just tried with a phone that has much more than 5 years left and still got the offer.

Probably best to not wait until last minute to refill, so you have time to ask questions here if necessary .

I think you're expecting too much of people who don't frequent this forum - like knowing about this obscure Rebel deal. Everyone may not want to jump through the hoops required to participate.

Not sure how obscure that deal is, I bought one a week ago and they have sold another 200 since?

I would certainly agree with the jumping through the hoops part though, but doing so seems to be getting a little smoother.

You live here and others live on eBay, slickdeals.net, etc. Some do neither and this deal isn't exactly on a neon board anywhere for people who don't frequent those places and read all the threads. I'll say no more.

    True,
I was just trying to point out that besides this deal not being up in neon lights they have sold boat load of them and interestingly enough mostly individual purchases.

The point tfusr19 made is that many users do not want to play games with phone activations just to add airtime or other options. The OP just had trouble getting the 1 year add-on option with other purchases.

It was a long shot. I just vaguely recalled it not being offered when I had nearly a year.

That was the old sure, prior to smartphone cards.

Certainly. Never wait to the last minute.
