    switching carrier, recommendations?

I've had PagePlus for several years but I've been annoyed recently with poor customer service, delayed/dropped text messages, and apparently overcharging my usage. I'm looking to switch and the best deal I find is Total Wireless.

I typically use less than 1000 minutes/month and less than 1G data. I want to stay on the Verizon network, or I would consider AT&T. Are there any other prepaid carriers I should consider? Thanks.

Twigby or Tello. They both require a Sprint phone

Boom Mobile (boom.us) will give you unlimited talk, text, and 1 Gb data for $25 on 4GLTE plan. No additional taxes or fees.

I've been on the unlimited t+t with 2gb for $ 29.95 for a year now. It has been excellent

Thank you for the replies, I'll look at Boom. I forgot to mention I want to stay on the Verizon network, or I would consider AT&T. Edited above.

Boom is a little better deal than Total Wireless, but they don't have many phones. The one I would probably get is actually out of stock. (I prefer to get a phone from the company rather than on my own, just for simplicity.) Can anybody tell me about other pros/cons of the two? Customer Service? Does Boom get more phone options at times?

Boom has roaming and some people say it has the same coverage as Verizon post paid. Finding phones for Verizon for Mvnos had always been harder than others. But with Motorola's unlocked Moto G and soon Moto E will make it easier

That roaming statement is old information and is no longer true.

Is the coverage at least equivalent to what I have with page plus?

That's very hard to answer. The Boom owner can't even accurately answer that, at least not such that us forum members can understand it.

It is my personal understanding that PPC coverage might be greater using PPC's paid roaming option, but comparing PPC's included no extra charge coverage to Boom, Boom's coverage might be greater.

    It is very unclear...

Like Boz1 was saying, do you have a balance on your account to use paid roaming at Page Plus? If you typically carry a Page Plus balance, then I think only Verizon Prepaid and Selectel Wireless are likely to similarly offer paid Verizon roaming. After that there is Boom Mobile, which has been advertising extended coverage and VoLTE, although I really don't know how useful those items would be in comparison to paid roaming. After Boom everyone else pretty much has Verizon prepaid coverage without the ability to roam, which would be the same as Page Plus without a balance. If you have a ROK dealer nearby, the following is probably the cheapest option for 1 GB.

Total Wireless and Page Plus are both Tracfone companies, so they likely offer similar customer service.

I didn't even know page plus had the roaming option, so I guess I won't be losing any coverage.

I don't spend much on phones. I've always bought refurbished ones, usually middle of the road, not a Galaxy but not a brand I've never heard of.

I hear good things about Cricket and Consumer Cellular. If you go with the latter ask for AT&T network since they use either them or T-Mobile.
