AT&T roaming on Chariton Valley Wireless in north-central Missouri

Chariton Valley LTE and 3G roaming is finally functional! Heading east on US 36, I switched onto it east of Marceline (on 3G) and got LTE near Macon. I am still connected to Chariton Valley LTE west of Hunnewell.

Screenshots attached. These were taken in Shelbina.

AT&T customer since 2007; Alltel 2004-07. Android since 2014. Done with the Apple walled garden.
I recommend and use CellMapper and Sensorly for testing and mapping signal coverage and have contributed extensively to both projects in the greater St. Louis region and surrounding states.

Wow I could've used that last year! Roaming on Chariton was such a nightmare.

It's brand new - wasn't even there four weeks ago.

This is interesting, as Chariton Valley is also a partner with Verizon in their LTE in Rural America program, so it seems they are playing both sides of the field with this development. More availability=better service for all.

Another interesting thing here is that the sites are broadcasting multiple MCC/MNC and cell ID numbers. Each site transmits 311-480 for Verizon as well as 312-220 which showed up on all my AT&T devices and is in itself a change as last time I was there the 2G was 311-10.

Does it show differently on your OLAM?

I'll find out soon. Yesterday, when I was on it, was the last day of the billing cycle so I'll see the bill soon.

Everything in OLAM shows up as "Mobile data" with no distinction between AT&T and Chariton Valley or Viaero (which I also roamed on a few days ago). Would capped show up any different?

I'll look at the actual codes on the bill when that shows up; should see it by the 12th or 13th.

Looked over the bill and the data did bill just like native network data.

UNLOBD on the Mobley and MSDGI0 on phones/tablets.
