iPhone SE model A1662; Verizon or AT&T if you had a choice?

I recently purchased an iPhone SE model A1662. It was released for AT&T. According to multiple websites, the phone should work on AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile (among others), but no so much on Sprint.

I'm on the RedPocket eBay plan. I can choose either the AT&T network or the Verizon network, cost is the same either way, and I have both SIMs.

I live near philly, not a rural area.

Which network would you choose and why? I'm leaning towards AT&T simply because the phone was released for AT&T. I hope somebody here has been on both AT&T and Verizon and can share their experience. Verizon historically has had the best network, but maybe that isn't the case today.

The A1662 was sold by ATT/T-Mobile/Verizon

The A1723 was sold by Sprint

Your A1662 should work fine on both ATT or Verizon, providing Verizon accepts the IMEI on its network.

So your decision should be based on the carrier network, not the device.

I'm surprised the SE does not support LTE Band 30 for ATT. I thought the SE was supposed to be the equivalent of the 6s, just smaller format.

Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll stick with Verizon, because my current iPhone 5c is on the verizon network, and I can just move the SIM card from it to the new iPhone SE easily.

Not quite. iPhone SE is comprised of various elements from iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6S.

The iPhone SE A1662 will work on Sprint as well, but is missing Sprint's newer band 41.

Just moving the SIM card may jot be the best idea in all cases. Sometimes new features (like wifi calling) require a newer SIM.

    The A1662 is missing LTE bands 7 & 28. Also missing TD-LTE bands 38, 38, 40, 41. Also missing TD-SCDMA 1900 (F), 2000 (A).

I have no idea if those frequencies are important for Sprint. Maybe LTE band 41 is the only missing Sprint component.
