Switching to T-mobile, avoid fees and credit checks?

I'm on the T-Mobile site and wants me to pay $50 for SIM cards for BYOD. Will this be a hard credit check?

I could open a business account, could this at least be done without having to give my SSN and having the credit check on the business?

I had to have a credit check when I opened my business account

But did they check your credit or the business credit?

They are trying to charge me $25 x 2 for SIM cards.

They have a no credit check option, or at least they used to haven't looked in a bit, but the no credit check option instantly requires a line deposit of 75 dollars plus the cost of the sim. If you don't want to run a credit check the only options really are the no credit check option with the line deposit or prepaid which requires the first month paid up front along with the sim fee.

The no credit check option I saw was $110/month instead of $100/month for 2 lines.

I just checked online and they are, in fact, charging $25, per SIM! That, IMHO, is outrageous.

Yeah $25 a sim seems to be the norm. When I signed up it was $25 plus tax so $26 something total

Exactly. I did that option first, and later did the credit check. The temporary deposit of $75 has long since been refunded as a debit card.

It could be they don't allow the autopay discount on no credit check lines. The 2 for 100 is with autopay set up. It's normally 2 for 110 without. So either they don't give the autopay discount on no credit check lines or the price of 110 for 2 is without the autopay discount added.

Slight hassle at the store but they're able to open a business account without SSN and on a business account SIM card rang up for $20 instead of $25.

Yeah, they opened up my business account on my business card, and that was all they needed.

The SIM, however, was $25, and it took twice as long to mail as they had promised. Beware of anything using that special hybrid UPS - post office service, it is terribly slow AND the packages are untrackable for half the journey.
