Why do these people insist on Province-wide talking?

    And 3G...

Same deal on Chatr, 6GB for $50..

Except you get Canada/US calling instead of province-restricted..
and you don't have to pay 90 days in advance..
    and there's no overage..
    and it's faster 3G.

    Autopay plan.
    Zones for the unlimited data.

The other thing Telus killed with their Public Mobile revamp, it's no longer "same network as Telus!".
Want affordable pricing? give up LTE, give up Canada-wide calling, give up CS, and pay 3 months in advance.

as a matter of fact, Freedom has 6GB for $49. Canada/US calling. LTE.
    (currently $44 for 12mo)

I think it's overpriced. If their last promo was 4gb for $38 at LTE speeds, then 1 gig more at 3G should cost about $30-35.

PM was cannibalizing subs from their regular brands, that's why this happened. The prices were damned good.
    Un-Rogered, and getting better 'value'.

Good news for Freedom, now they have the best plans on the market in BC/AB/ON, period. And now they won't have PM stealing away customers either.

Assuming the clients are happy with Wind's joke of a network that is
Best case scenario this drives more people to Koodo PQ plans
    Public $120 Province Wide + 12GB - $6 Autopay - $6 Loyalty - $42 Refer = $22 per Month
Telus SK North American Wide 7GB = $65
    Chatr (Mobi) $40 North America Wide + 6GB + 30 Mins Roaming

Perhaps you meant Telus. They may have noticed a few too many Telus and Koodo subscribers switching to Public Mobile, even with the 'port from Freedom Mobile' requirement for their last big promotion.

    Chatr and Telus?

Coincidental that the flankers of both come out with new, price identical promos at the same time - 6GB on 3G for $50 (autopay, PM on 90day).
    Which counter Freedom's 6GB for $49, coincidentally.

Here, greedy TELUS is again the real Robbers, hiding behind the friendly mask.

Public Mobile is not giving 3G speeds. They are giving 2.5 Mbps, which is snail speed, and then they cut off your data. They are also only giving province-wide calling. WTF?

Chatr is giving actual 3G, and when you go over the limit, you get unlimited data at 3.0 Mbps. Second, they are giving unlimited calls to Canada and the US.

On top of that, Chatr has actual customer service that you can call and talk to.

    +1

In Quebec Koodo jacked up prices.

    Koodo

    BYOD 6GB is $70.

    Bell

    BYOD 8GB is $70.

So much for the flanker brand giving value plans.

Chatr has two types of data plans:

    1) My girlfriend has the 1 GB for $15 data add-on to her $25 "Unlimited Province-wide Talk & 100 International Texts" plan. Her data is hard limited to 10 Mbps. If she goes over that 1 GB, pay-per-use rates apply: 5¢/MB for overage usage,

    2) In-zone Talk, Text & Data plans (like my Expired Mobilicity plan) are hard limited to 3 Mbps. If you reach your data limit, people have reported that you are slowed down to 128 Kbps. Here is what Chatr says:

'(3) If your in-zone data usage in a month exceeds your 3G speed data allotment, you can continue to use data with no overage charge, but managed data speeds will be reduced from up to 3 Mbps to up to 64 kilobits per second (for both download and upload) until your Anniversary Date.'

Chatr's customer service has been really good for my girlfriend and myself. Chatr even has their own stores and kiosks!
