    Intraband Carrier Aggregation Thread

    Hello all!

Today I had my first experience with intra band carrier aggregation on AT&T in Mountainside, NJ. Phone was utilizing a 12+2+2 while in Echo Lake park. Please post any experiences with intraband carrier agg here, looks like we'll finally start to see this roll out!

I've seen it in parts of Texas, driving to Austin, also in/out of San Antonio and in Las Cruces, NM.

Here are some CA combinations I've seen.

    Somewhere on US 290E:

    Outside of San Antonio:

    In Las Cruces, NM:

Good find guys! Haven't seen intra-band here yet though but I'm guess it won't be long. I think they can do 15+10 B2 here.

Nice job, I'm wondering when it will be in NYC. Not sure if the S6A supports it. Out could already be happening.

I would say yes your S6a does on either 2+2 or 4+4. My Verizon S6 edge was pairing 4+4.

Interesting. I'll keep an eye out. What's the CA config page?

AT&T/T-Mobile firmware utilizes different Service Menu screens than Verizon. Unfortunately, there is no menu in AT&T Service Mode which shows these combos.

Yeah there is, dial *#0011# and you can see all the bands you are connected to, including intra band CA.

Nah, the combos that are enabled in the modem firmware. Not currently connected to, though.

Oh I thought you meant to see what you were connected too, but yeah RAT selection is disabled on the AT&T S8 😔

These are the supported combos on the Verizon S6 edge(for reference) with the latest baseband. No B5 support. I would bet anything that the AT&T S6 supports 2+2 given their hodge podge of spectrum holdings in a lot of areas.

If you turn off the phone, slightly pop the SIM, and turn the phone on you can view 2263 and make manual changes or band selections.

That sounds like a pain every time I would want to do that I would have to take my case off. I don't really need to change any bands, thank you though!

I'm curious too. I'll never see any of this where I live... maybe 66+66 (MFBI)
