Exclusive offer to move to Koodo

    Anyone else got this text?

I am currently with PM on the 90 day, 12GB, province wide talk promo plan for $120. But with auto pay and 3 referrals it's actually $108 or $36/month.

This is very tempting. It's an official Koodo plan and not an out of province plan like $49 from QC, so there is no risk of it being audited and taken away.

My next billing cycle starts tomorrow so I have to act today. Going to stop by Koodo after work.

So.....is the extra 1 GB of data or Cross-Canada long distance worth the extra $14 per month ( Plus additional tax)?

My feeling is that the extra $176.40 per year, (12x14x1.05) would more than cover buying the extra data or LD minutes for the odd overage.

In other words, I see little, if any, advantage in this offer. Everyone has their own circumstances however, so as they say YMMV.
    Nexus 5.

Yes, it's worth it. For me that is. I was with Koodo until November of last year and I had a 50% retail discount (don't ask me how I got it). But it expired and I was paying $60+ a month. I was preparing to get the MB $48 plan, when that loophole got shut down. The Public Mobile $120/90 day promo was the best thing at the time, so I went with it knowing that it would be temporary. So when this opportunity came along, I decided to jump on it. I do need more than 4 GB occasionally as well as Canada wide calling, My next PM payment would have been today, so the timing was perfect. No money lost.

I got the offer too, doesn't look like their US roaming plans are as good though and I go a lot. Otherwise I wonder what tab this plan is eligible for?

Why do they want customers moving away from them?

Both Public and Koodo are Telus. So essentially, nobody's moving away.
