This is getting kind of stupid, why not let people activate during the week?

Telus SK North American Wide 7GB = $65

Really? What job do you work that requires you in office between 9AM & 9PM with no lunch breaks?

Also (if you are on a non-LTE plan) tell them that the Freedom 3G network no longer meets your needs so you will be switching to an LTE plan "with someone" and you are only prepared to pay $50 with Freedom.
Thank you! This is the best advice.

Lol, lunch breaks are never long enough 30 minutes is waaaayyy too short. Perhaps if you work in an industry like mine, you have clients calling all the time wanting updates on the status. Lunches and breaks are just a dream unless you don't care about providing service.

I will never buy an HTC ever again! (two broke within 4 years, which were well taken care of)

Learn about price collusion, https://www.reddit.com/r/canada/comm...n_of_canadian/ Canada has the highest utility rates in the G7 countries. Say no to price collusion, be informed of the CCTS, Industry Canada and the CRTC. The working class needs affordability in today's society.

Ok so its just me then
True story I signed up the Koodo MB 48 plan during a lunch break

30 mins is legal minimum though; most people get an hour (excluding jobs like mall workers)

So I finally got a 25% off code from a colleague, should there be any problems going to a store activating a new $50 Everywhere plan and adding this code??

Go Postpaid for discount and tab flexibility

These discount codes can be applied to any $40+ in-market plan, including the current promos. You can apply it yourself from the online account. The codes are good for the life of the account, as long as your account does not go into suspension.

HOWEVER, these codes can only be applied to postpaid accounts. They are not valid on pay-before accounts.

For this reason, even if you don't want a tab, it's best to activate on postpaid. You'd then be eligible for these codes when they come available.

I just activated on $50 Everything promo plan and had the rep add the code I got from a colleague. No issues. I'm going to see if they get the iPhone before I decide on a phone and at that point I'll port my number over.

One last thing. The discount code was in the paper work so I'm sure it's there and all but the rep did say that it won't be reflected on my first bill. Anyone know yet if this is true?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe it should show on your first bill, but it won't show before your first bill is generated.

Cool, I'll keep an eye on it. The rep told me I had to get the $50 plan, that the $40 wasn't compatible. I doubt that's true and I wanted the $50 anyway so I didn't argue.

Is it possible to change the plan twice in a billing cycle? I tried to do this online and it gave me error. I would love to switch to the $50 plan by calling them but want to make sure its doable within billing cycle since I already had mine changed once.
