Is this ymmv, or 100% for unlock without service?

Details. When's the best time to unlock. Day 90? 91?

Is there a cutoff? Day 100, etc.?

About to buy a Blade Z today, if I can find one. Would be great to be sure I could get away with just the 1 month payment before going back to Cricket. Then unlock the phone 2 months later.

    Thanks.

Haha there's an unlock app? Thought you had to call the provider to get it done for you? Which phone was this?

All recently produced MetroPcs phones have the device unlock app. Android phones at least. Apple phones may be different.

T-Mobile phones also have the unlock app.
