No carrier needs more spectrum if it sufficiently densifies its network. If mini cells were located every 25 feet, 5 MHz of spectrum would be sufficient for all. Spectrum just makes things easier for the carriers—i.e. less densification necessary with more airspace to broadcast over.

But I totally agree with what you're saying overall.

Densification only gets you so far. In instances where it's not possible deploying more airwaves is the answer. If people want a consistently fast network spectrum is the solution along with density. AT&T isn't spectrum starved so we shall see what they do in the future . But I'm glad you see the point I'm trying to get across.

Agreed. Think of all the people that sign up for the 75 dollar plan. They can get deprioritized at ANYTIME. You think that's fair ? They'll probably see sub 1 Mbps speeds 80-90 percent of the time. Horrible planning by Verizon, but then again it's their fault ...they could of bought more capacity for future LTE. AT&T did it right....

This is quite the price hike. Today’s plan is $45/line for 4 lines. Tomorrow it will be $50/line for 4 lines. Today you can get 10 unlimited lines for $300/month. Tomorrow it will be $500/month.

With the higher unlimited option, sure. For the lower one the price is cheaper, at least for up to 4 lines. Not sure beyond that.

The lower priced plan is terrible. Not even comparable.

I was actually considering using it. I admit I'm a different type of user, though.

1 step forward and 2 steps backward with Verizon. Instead of screwing the current customers, why not grandfather them.

Any word on how a typical corporate discount might work with these plans? I currently have a 22% discount, and it saves me $17.60 on the $80 12GB plan.

Prices going up but wages are going down. Gotta try and please the shareholders.

Verizon has been losing customers but they want to raise the rates? Did an old Sprint CEO start running the show?

this is what sucks when the two year agreement disappeared. Verizon and the rest of the carriers can change the terms whenever they want.

Yes, I want to know as well. Obviously, right now no discount exists on the unlimited plan at all. If they add that, these could become attractive.
