Yes it does if your source for internet is a Verizon jetpack etc

Switch to the unlimited plan today before these new plans kick in tomorrow.

how does this affect people with legacy UDP still on 2-year contracts?
will video streaming be slowed down to 480p?

You still have time to switch to the current UDP today.

The gUDP plans shouldn't be subjected to the 22gb de prioritization right?

Correct but I am sure that will change very soon Doesn't help that the FCC chairman is a Verizon guy

Worse, he is a Verizon lawyer, doesn't get more evil than that.

From the news articles, it seems like the only changes to the gUDP will be video throttle to 10Mbps and 720p max on phone, 1080p max if tethering.

For a single line, the new BU plans are only $5/mo more expensive. For 2 or more lines, the BU plans are $20/mo more expensive.

As others have pointed out, you can still switch today to the new UDP. The GU and BU don't start until tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't realize they weren't active yet. It looks like they're bumping the hotspot limit to 15GB for existing plans, too.

The question which is unclear though is what happens after 4 lines? The way its worded seems that for 4 plus lines, it is $40/$50 per line for go UDP/ beyond UDP.

The current UDP is $20 line access charge for lines 2-10, plus $100 account access charge.

This setup, if I am understanding it correctly, would cost those with say 6-10 lines significantly more

I'm currently on the gUDP and thinking of switching to today's unlimited plan. wonder if there's any benefit to the new plans? Currently paying $50 a month for 3 gUDP plans.
