It might be worth it to switch your service to the Moto E4 so that you can get it unlocked and whitelisted. As is, it can only be used on Verizon Prepaid.

And spend 75.00 on refills and time using a phone you probably don't really like?

    What's the phone worth unlocked?

I'm not familiar enough with Verizon PP to know how to switch the phone in your account such that the Moto E4 is activated on the account and then be able to be unlocked/whitelisted after $75 in payments. But after doing that, I would think you would be able to swap the SIM back into your primary phone and the Moto E4 would still be "accumulating time".

As far as what it's worth, I've seen 1 listing on eBay for an unlocked Moto E4 for $100 with several sales last I looked. And I'm pretty sure those are not whitelisted.

Good move, for 40.00 you have a spare the next time you drop a phone in a cement mixer. Lol

I bought one of those and activated it for one day before replacing it with an unlocked LG G5. I just gave the E4 to a coworker and he was able to activate it on TracPhone so it looks like as long as you spend at least $75 on your account the unlock/whitelist is automatic, even if you just put the sim in and turn it on then put it in another phone.
Verizon appears to have updated the system as I can now swap my sim between my S8, Moto G5 Plus, and LG G5 (all unlocked versions) and log into the account and it shows the current phone as the one on the account. Before you had to go in and change it with the IMEI number.
