Is the data hard capped or is there unlimited slow 64 or 128 kbps data? Are there any paygo options for extra minutes or texts if you go over the 500 min/text caps?
Looks to me from the descriptions that the cheaper plans are hard capped while the expensive plans are soft capped...which seems backwards from most carriers.

Depending on SWMBOs actual data use this month on TPO, we may switch. She has already burned through 250 mb headed for 500 on slow data. Doesn't seem to bother her.

Well Redpocket $10 plan now beats Airvoice $10 plan.

Wow, many DON'T need unlimited data. Go figure!

That new 15 plan blows Tracfone's 15 dollar card out of the water. Might need to switch once I finish burning up my Tracfone .

There are 2 bonus codes available for an extra gig on TracFone with 4 of the smartphone plans including the $15 one, which now includes 500 MB instead of 200 MB (and that includes cards bought at stores that list it as 200 MB). You can only use each code once for each TF line, though.

As a US citizen I have the right to criticize my government. My thanks for this is endless in magnitude.

Fascism is here led by a hypersensitive psychopathic dictator having complete power, obsessively suppressing criticism, regimenting industry & commerce. Emboldening racism & aggressive nationalism.

    Red Pocket (AT&T) $255yr UTnT 3GB
    AirVoice (AT&T) $20mo UTnT 50MB
T-Mo Gold Rewards $10yr exp ext
    Tello (Sprint) $5 1+call/3mo=no exp x2

200 voice, 500 texts and 500 megs of data a month for 15 dollars. 1.5 gigs of data with bonus code. On Tracfone Vs. 1000min, 1000texts and 1gb data for 15 a month with Redpocket. Tracfone s 20/month plan matches the texts and data for Redpocket however gives an anemic 300 minutes.

For anyone who uses more than 200 min or 500 texts a month and less than 1000 each a month the new red pocket plan is a no brainer. That is why I am looking hard at switching once I toast my current TF. I have 140 min, 37tezt and 1.4 go data to go. Using Google Voice calls on my ideal does not work well.

Red pocket plans are very good. The Tracfone plans will roll over all minutes, texts and data. You could also get Xfinity for $12 and get unlimited calls and text. Things are looking good in prepay world.

I just chatted with Red Pocket as the plan I bought yesterday was the 500 / 500 / 500 plan for $10 and I wanted to make sure that I would indeed be getting that and it would auto-renew with the 500 MB data. She assured me that it would. If you click to Buy the $10 plan the signup page shows the correct values. They have escalated to their IT group to fix the problem.

Good timing on the $15 plan...

I was personally on the old 3g device only Verizon cdma $20 300 minutes/unlimited messaging/1 gb 3g data plan (which is how I found out about all this on a planned renewal) and just shifted it to the new $15 1000 min/1000 messages/1 gb up to lte plan. Same old phone but since I don't use much text and have run out of minutes before (never ran out of data) that this works nicely. Triple the minutes and the overall price is a quarter less. And I can get an LTE device upgrade now if I want with the purchase of a RP Cdma V sim. Nice upgrade path. With this move, RP has put the other low end plans from competitors like Air Voice $10 and Page Plus$12 on the ropes... unless they respond of course... lol Yeah. they have the $10 plan wrong on the opening RP main web site saying 100 megs . But it's 500. Good deal but I always need over 500 megs .. can't lose either way....

The site is ambiguous about this plan having throttled data. Does it go throttled after a gig?

Good deals to see from them.

The original post states that it is a hard cap.

Red Pocket gives $5 a month discount for autopay on those prices, right?
