I remember paying $20 when I ported my number from Page Plus to Google Voice back in May 2013.

So, I got my sim, installed, tried to port #, last night. Still no service on phone or messages from RP.
Second question, does my Gophone acct have an actual acct #?

I think you have to contact at&t for the port out info. From what I recall, the account number stuff isn't listed on you account

How did you try to port without an account # for the service you're porting out of?

Finally got it done. 2 chat sessions with RP, and 1 call to ATT to get acct # info. The acct # from my postpaid was different from my prepaid.

You assumed the account #'s were the same? Sounds like RP went above and beyond.

That's what I was thinking. USMCSSGT wasn't fully prepared to port out of AT&T.

Blame the customer. Love it. (Don’t love it). So all who port need to learn that the obvious current cellphone company you are with, are hiding the account number as much as they can. In this day and age of pay online, it seems most prepaid account companies sure make it hard, by not just making the phone number the same as account number. Or at least making the account number available with a simple text or during an online log in account information session. You always need to converse with a live body to get that account number. Think that purposeful.

That's on AT&T, in this case. The original port failure, in this case, was not Red Pocket's fault.

If I got with the 2 GB data uncapped plan, how slow should I expect the speeds to be after the initial 2 GB on Red Pocket's Verizon service? Will it be fast enough for GPS and streaming music?

Awesome link to great info TY. I'm ~3mo into my Red Pocket (AT&T) $255yr UTnT 3GB. I hardly go over 200MB. So if I find one I like I can hold it.
As a US citizen I have the right to criticize my government. My thanks for this is endless in magnitude.

Fascism is here led by a hypersensitive psychopathic dictator having complete power, obsessively suppressing criticism, regimenting industry & commerce. Emboldening racism & aggressive nationalism.

    Red Pocket (AT&T) $255yr UTnT 3GB
    AirVoice (AT&T) $20mo UTnT 50MB
T-Mo Gold Rewards $10yr exp ext
    Tello (Sprint) $5 1+call/3mo=no exp x2

It should be fast enough for GPS, but why don't you just load the GPS maps while on WiFi? Streaming music might work, but there might be buffering.

Why do you think the 2GB unlimited plan isn't unlimited? See https://www.ebay.com/itm/Red-Pocket-...D/132310276900
