    Verizon Prepaid to Postpaid

Does anyone know if Verizon still makes you wait 6 months to switch from prepaid to postpaid?

No worries. Or port it to google voice and then port it into postpaid

Yeah I believe so. I know there’s a thread somewhere here about it.

Wait, What? I had a prepaid line that was less than a month old and called Verizon and switched it to postpaid (and kept the same number) with no issues at all. As a matter of fact, the lady was very nice and gave me a small credit because my first month of prepaid service was not completed yet. Either this lady didn't know about any six month rule, or no such rule exists. Maybe you are confusing a prepaid phone has to have service for six months before it can be unlocked?

This is also my experience. 4 week old prepaid. Switched back but had to create brand new postpaid account, soft credit pull and all. $50 prepaid credit was transferred to new postpaid account.

Customer service can always bend the rules whether they choose to do so or is another question all together

Prepaid accounts cancel itself instantly, postpaid remain active till end of bill cycle.

I just changed from postpaid to prepaid 1 week before the end of the month, and they closed my old account as part of moving me. I was even surprised to learn I'm getting $12 back.
I now have the 7+, continuing my pattern of buying every other iPhone generation.
