I think so. I remember hearing that on Verizon Reddit a while ago.

If you have unlimited it shouldn't matter too much. I guess we will really find out soon for those who have data caps.
    Carrier History:
    Verizon Wireless 8/2016 - Present
    T-Mobile 4/2016 - 8/2016
    AT&T (formally Cingular) 12/2001 - 4/2016

According to the verizon site it seems it does "Available on select devices. Data usage applies for app download/use." https://www.verizonwireless.com/nfl/nfl-mobile/

Verizon says unlimited isn't putting a strain on their network but I'm not so sure I'm buying it.

I don't know why anyone in their right mind would watch a football game on a 5 or 6 inch screen. Maybe it's just me

Their average speed is decreasing... it is taking a toll no matter how small.

    Wrong.

On September 7th, Verizon introduces a NFL Content Streaming Promotion.

From the start of the 2017 regular season, NFL content on NFL Mobile and go90 will be data free (zero rated) on all capped postpaid plans.

Michigan home game was on today and i was stuck at work so I watched it on my break, on my phone. I look at that as better than not watching it at all... and I live 10 minutes from Michigan stadium... lol

I wonder if the video is throttled to 480p.

Is unlimited data plans considered capped plan? Unlimited means no cap no?

Verizon has a 22GB data deprioritizing threshold. You don't want that game streaming to be cutting into that allotment.

The game streaming does count towards your 22gb.

Why would anyone in their right mind watch football for any reason?
