Need Verizon GSM MVNO provider suggestions

I have used Airvoice for years, but AT&T is so unreliable in my area. Verizon is truly superior in my area. Which providers have Verizon GSM networks. I believe I can get Tracfone, but any others?

I tried Red Pocket but their Verizon is only CDMA.

    Thank you!
    TZ

I believe you're in search of a unicorn. While LTE is LTE (sort of) no matter who your carrier is - once you throw GSM in the discussion Verizon will never meet your requirements. When Verizon isn't using LTE, they're using CDMA. As far as I know, Verizon has never deployed any GSM equipment anywhere.

Thank you. Unfortunately, that's what I'm finding. I really don't want to go back to CDMA phones to get Verizon's network though.

GSM means nothing today. AT&T doesn't have GSM anymore in their network for example (was shut off this past January). Verizon said will shut off CDMA too in 2019.

As of January 1, 2017, AT&T uses a GSM based network operating on the following frequencies/bands:

    3G WCDMA/UMTS/HSDPA/HSPA+ - 850/1900MHz Bands 2 & 5 (minimum requirement for nationwide service)
    4G LTE –700/850/1900/1700/2100/2300MHz Bands 2, 4, 5, 12, 17, 29, 30, 40, 66

The 2G GSM 850/1900MHz network was sunset as of December 31, 2016; therefore, devices with these specs no longer operate on AT&T’s network.

I just prefer to use my GSM unlocked phone with a Verizon network, but it sounds like it is not possible.

Well, if your GSM phone happens to have LTE bands 2, 4, and 13, you're in luck.

That phone has LTE Bands 2/4/5/12/29. Unfortunately, band 13 is pretty critical for rural Verizon coverage. The phone might work, but it might get no signal or very low signal strength depending on where you are.

And needless to say, unless it can do VoLTE, you won't be making any calls on it.

Have you tried T-Mobile and their MVNOs? That phone doesn't have band 13, but it does have band 12. So give T-Mobile a shot, plus they're GSM too.

I used to have Tmobile, and it was not good service where we used to live, so I ditched it for AT&T via Airvoice.

I can check with neighbors to see how their Tmobile coverage is here.

What you are saying is like wanting a samsung phone with iOS. It is totally impossible.

Verizon uses its network on CDMA and LTE bands 2,4 and 13. There is no gsm service on verizon and it won't work without a cdma / verizon compatible phone.

Most verizon phones these days are unlocked and will work on gsm providers. You will therefore need a new phone since yours is not cdma/verizon compatible but with a new verizon phone you will be able to use gsm networks elsewhere if you so choose in the future. You are not locked to cdma with verizon phones.

If ATT isn't working for you then you'll have to see if tmobile works or get a new phone.
