Good question. The most important piece of the phone (IMO) gets no coverage.

It's 2 models again and one has no CDMA so I'd bet it's Qualcomm and intel again. We'll have to wait and see on performance between the two. I'm guessing the performance gap will be closed this time in contrast to last year. Although, similar to others, my Qualcomm 7 Plus RF strength is always weaker on AT&T compared to my Intel 7 Plus. Also, I hope this year they allow the Intel 7 Plus to run on Verizon, even VoLTE only, as there are other LTE only phones that they currently sell for the Verizon network.

I think this should answer the question. It appears that Apple has decided to use the 2 modem solution again. Because the Qualcomm modem is the fastest, Apple software inhibits it to "equate" the user experience.

That's speculation from 3 months ago and especially suspect given BGR are the ones claiming it.

One thing I did notice today is that iPhone X and 8 support TD-LTE. So now they have one true worlds phone model and not a separate one for China. I’m happy about this because I do travel there occasionally and while I have no problem roaming, it’ll be nice to have support from all of the carriers.

There is a separate model just for Japan though.

A: No, I would treat her as an equal.
