What current methods to extend gUDP besides 1 yr Loyalty plan?

Sorry if this has been discussed, but I'm only seeing 2 pages of threads and it wasn't there.

My contract is expiring end of this month, and already got the notice about $20 price hike for next bill. Is there any other working method besides the loyalty one that extends for 1 year?

Are any of the tablet/jetpack methods working, or all the orders get flagged and ultimately canceled?

I'd also like to know what all the current options are for extending/renewing the contract. With VZW's most recent changes to Unlimited Data Plans that are currently offered to new and existing customers, they've now made 2 year contracts an option again. Now it's just a question of figuring out how to get that 2 year contract while keeping the Grandfathered UDP!

Where did the notice occur? Last page of your monthly bill?

I'm on the same boat. My contract ends next month. Loyalty plan method seems to be a pita.

My contract ends on 10/9/17. I didn't receive any notice of price increase yesterday on my bill. I guess they're going to let me slide because I'm such a loyal customer.

That's why I gave up my grandfathered unlimited plan 2 months ago. We have 4 lines and only one of them grandfathered. Never abused the unlimited data but put it in my kids lte iPad and the free tethering was nice. Used between 20-50gb a month on the iPad with my grandfathered data plan but the unlimited data loophole seems to be getting harder and harder. So I used my subsidized upgrade to buy iPhone 6s in October 2015 to avoid the $20 price increase. The contract is ending October 2017.

So I just swithed all the lines to the Verizon unlimited data plan. 2 months ago. $100 plus $20 a device. Actually lowered our bill. Since one of the lines had 5gb data for $50 just for data

So how much time in advance must the contract be renewed to avoid the $20 price hike? I just thought you can't let the contract expire.

Exactly. Do it literally before it expires

And does the tablet method still work? When I try to go through steps, picking 2-yr contract, it asks me to pick one of new verizon data plans (S, M, L). is it safe to continue this way?
