    Nexus 6P on Cricket

I'm testing out Cricket service in my area on a Nexus 6P. I'm a former Sprint customer, and my main goal in moving to Cricket is better coverage, as it uses AT&T's network.

Anyway, I guess I have two questions:

1 - Should the native, non-roaming coverage I have on Cricket match what I would see on AT&T?

2 - Does my phone (Nexus 6P) support all of the necessary bands to get the full Cricket coverage?

The reason I'm wondering is where I live, both AT&T and Cricket show solid LTE coverage, yet around my house the signal will go between LTE and HSPA+ and every now and then drop altogether. So I'm wondering if this is likely a coverage issue, or if it could be that my Nexus doesn't support all the bands.

I've been using a 6P on Cricket for over a year. No signal issues. According to this, it's fully supported: https://willmyphonework.net/

I guess that's just the way Att/cricket signal is.

My home is less than 8 straight line miles from Cricket HQ in Atlanta.

In my house the signal switches between Lte and 4g(hspa+, I guess). Sometimes the 4g is so slow as to be almost useless for data. Like you, sometimes dropping altogether for a very short period. It seems to be on 4g about as much as it's on Lte.

I also keep TMobile and/or Simple Mobile service. About the only times it switches to 4g/edge is when I'm below ground on subway(and phone calls). Otherwise, it's "always" on Lte, everywhere(in the area).

And this is with unlocked Cricket phones.

I actually just dropped Cricket, for a short period, to take advantage of a MetroPcs promotion for a new phone.

I'd say it is a coverage issue. I've been using Cricket on my 6P for over a year and have had not issues that I didn't see with AT&T native service. The non-roaming coverage of Cricket should be the same as the AT&T native coverage (although throttled to 8 or 3 MB depending on your plan).

My phone and my wife's phone are both Nexus 6p. We live in rural N. Florida and both phones work great on Cricket.

I have been also using an AT&T Galaxy S7 on Cricket. I'm having issues where I live, where the signal will just completely drop at times. I was tempted to try AT&T just in case the coverage would be better, but it sounds like it would be the exact same.

    Thanks for the input, everybody!
