    Activating before a trip

    Hi everyone,

Just ordered a H2O sim for a trip to San Francisco in November.

If I want to activate and fund the SIM online before a trip, is there any need to be able to connect to the network to complete it? I understand they don't roam so if I activate from Canada I won't be able to connect until I cross the border. Would be nice to step off the plane with the SIM in the phone and have it just work.

    Thanks!

Activate by phone, and it will work when you land.

I do this all the time when I go to the States. It will work fine, the hardest part is finding a credit card that can be used to top up your airtime minutes. If your Canadian CC doesn't work, just buy a PIN from callingmart.com. Enjoy your trip!
