FreedomPop now has yearly service plans

I got this in my email today. I think these plan pretty good if you consider it is on AT&T's network.

Its a good deal if its real GSM calling service and not more of their proprietary VOIP nonsense.

    Hmmm...

I think I'd rather have the $49.99/yr, 1,000+1,000+1GB/mo plan that was briefly offered by FP. Oh, well...

Can't imagine that it would be "real" cellular... I don't now know for a fact, but I'd bet $1 that it's the typical FP VoIP play...

It's not. If they figured out to do Premium Voice on GSM I would be happier. But I view FP as a data carrier. On that front, it is not bad.

There has never been Premium Voice for LTE SIM's nor do I expect FreedomPop to add the feature in the future. They do have Premium Voice on Sprint.

Right. Note that it was mostly rhetorical and I'm not actually excited for this deal. :/

    Meh for VOIP.

VoIP was bad enough with stable LTE, at&t has gotten horrible for me here lately, constantly switching LTE bands, slow almost unusable text messaging with Google voice, now it's out of the question for VoIP over Hangouts.
