    My trusty galaxy S4 is on 5.0 and I use it every day. I know what your saying theres a chance. The latest Note 8 costs about $900. No way I'll do that. I never do any banking/financial stuff on telephone.
    How do you mitigate on your G2?

    I don't have BT on. I don't visit unknown web sites (a specific few actually). I use a very small set of known apps. I don't use public wifi (except a few specific locations).

    Things like that. I just don't open myself to typical routes of infiltration.

    I don't store sensitive information on the phone either.

    I also know full well I could loose everything on it and keep backups of anything I want to keep long term.
