    Smart flip phone

Does anyone think there is any chance that Verizon would offer a smart flip phone such as this?

I think this could become popular, sort of retro with better specs and options. I wonder if there is a virtual KB? typing on the physical number pad would be a massive fail. Verizon has had some strange and somewhat unpopular phones over the years. Casio Commando comes to mind. They seem to be sticking to mainstream trusted sellers these days, but who knows? I would def check it out. Flip phones are usually pretty sturdy and can take some abuse. +1. Price is right. I know 2 people right now who'd buy this for sure.

I've been wanting something like that for ten years. Don't need a virtual keyboard or a bigger screen. I do five or six texts a day and use voice to text, which works flawlessly for me. Don't watch TV on my phone either. However, I do like access to internet for Google searches and weather, etc.

If it's new and the next big thing I'm sure all the major carriers will aim to sell this.

I agree with all of the above. I would LOVE a smart flip phone. Maybe I'm biased, because at this moment if my old Nokia flip phone supported group MMS and a better email experience, I would switch back.

I don't so much care about the physical keypad (T9 really wasn't that bad, and with today's text-prediction software, it would fly). But, unless it becomes the next big thing, it's not gonna be targeted by the big 4.

Would definitely use something like that. Sometimes get tired of carrying around bulky smart phones

This would be a perfect fit with the T-Mobile 55+ plan.

I wonder if Verizon would consider this a smartphone or a feature phone (for those on older plans). My guess is that it would be considered a smartphone.

Well I would give it a try. I have a Convoy 4. Its rugged and bulky. It does do the web but I usually just use it for checking Facebook messages. My daughter has a Samsung Brightside slider phone. That really handles the internet much better then mine as its got a touch screen. Would love a touch screen.
