    Is Apple selling unlocked phone?

I am buying my first iPhone from Apple and have some questions...

Do they sell unlocked phones only?

If I buy SIM free phone and if I activate with t-mobile, will it be locked to t-mobile or later I an switch my carrier without going through unlocking hassle?

If I buy with t-mobile SIM later I an switch my carrier without going through unlocking hassle?

If you buy a sim free version from Apple, you will be able to switch carriers at any point in the future without any problem. It will not be locked to any carrier regardless of what sim is ever used.

Best Buy sells iPhones with a "Flex" policy which reportedly locks the phone to the first sim carrier. The solution to that situation is to use a Verizon sim first, which should keep the phone unlocked for life.

EDIT: Sorry, I was posting to the wrong thing, so this info may not be correct for you specifically.

SOME of the prepaid carriers are selling the SE for significantly less, which may be relevant to you, or not.

Not correct. The "AT&T prepaid" model was $150, an unlocked one is $350, hence why I want with the "locked" one.

I've never heard anything about this verizon thing?

And for that matter, my 5s I bought a "verizon" model from Best Buy, and used an AT&T Sim in it.
