    The $50 year-only add-on?

So, what does it take nowadays to get the $50, 1-year days-only add-on to show up? Is it still available at all? I saw someone mention that it was harder now, but that implies that it's still possible.

You have to have a minutes card in your order to get the offer of the $50 1-year service.
You can then delete the minutes card from your order before the actual purchase.
Therefore you are purchasing only the 1-year service.

There have been reports that it works and also some posts that TF prevented it.

I've not bought Tracfone airtime online in years, not since maybe 2006. It was easy then & fast. How are the airtime minutes delivered now, do you pay with your debit & they immediately send the funds to your phone like they used to or what? Does that work for the $50 year's service offer? (Assuming everything goes well).

Yeah, if no glitches, your account will show the additional days within a couple of hours, if not immediately.

If there are glitches... could need a chat with customer service.

Thnx for the info. Right, if there are glitches, hopefully not but i've read posts about those. My memory of Tracfone sending airtime years ago, no glitches so i wonder what happened.

It worked so well years ago, they attracted more customers to those new services & networks &i guess its breaking down from the strain. It truly worries me. I like their plans but the glitches are... Oops, a major PITA.

I was offered the year offer when I bought the $5 texts. I don't need it so didn't buy it this time.

I did a personal "relative" cost comparison of the current offerings (assuming smartphone with 3x)

I tried all the offered plans and add-ons, and couldn't get the $50 year to show up. This is with a SIM (AT&T), and the site only offered the Smartphone plans.

Just tried it with my phone, AT&T sim, from an older 3x kit purchased from Family Dollar in July. Have always had the option for both smart phone only and pay as you go cards. After putting in my number and adding the $9.95 paygo card, then select one time only, I still get the option to add the 1 year of service. This is with a BYOP smsrtphone purchased and activated in July.

I have a BYOP on TF/AT&T in my account. When I clicked on ADD SERVICE PLAN then selected a $15 Smartphone card, I got the screen below with the add-on offers. Did you see anything similar to that?
