    WCS/Band 30 Shutdown/Bandwidth Decrease Markets

Figured I would make a thread out of this so we can track where WCS is being trimmed, shutdown, or power decreases. Feel free to post your experiences! All is good where I live, but I am seeing more and more posts about it and I think it should get more discussion.

    AT&T, 2.3 GHz AKA Band 30.

And nowhere did I claim otherwise. There are issues in some markets though.

Will be interesting to see what happens with AT&T in their deployment of band 30

How many have you seen? I saw the 9845 EARFCN on a adjacent site LTE messaging but no neighbor PCIs were shown and 9820 10x10 is still going.

They said they would be deploying it on every tower. I would like to see that happen. But the thing is though it may not be possible to get the 2.3 GHz band on every tower.

2.3 GHz B30 is a nation-wide license... It would benefit those on the Interstates and major HWYs... Band 30 is already deployed on one local tower in De Soto, MO which is a rural city....

I know it’s nationwide I’m just talking about the hardware part. If they already don’t have the hardware in place on the sites. But if they could get deployed on every cell site that would be fantastic.

Band 30 can use Band 2 and/or Band 4 Equipment. The tower I said in the post about Rural De Soto has Band 30 on Band 2 equipment.. There is a Pannel for B5 UMTS and a pannel for Band 12 LTE... There is a little Box that has Bands 2/30 on it....

Good they are more prepared than I thought. If I am not mistaken it is 10 MHz nationwide for the WCS licenses.
