Is Bell preemptively offering free unlocks yet?

I thought I'd heard a few carriers were just unlocking now vs waiting for the Dec 1'st deadline - any idea if Bell is doing so?

I'm looking at buying a Bell locked iPhone and would need it unlocked.

    Thanks in advance.

I believe you will find that if you purchase a new iPhone from Bell, it will already be unlocked.

Sorry, should have specified that this was a *used* phone. Like it or not as of Dec 1st they have to unlock any device locked to their network no matter what the situation, so I was just curious if Bell (or any of the carriers for that matter) were just preemptively unlocking now on request vs dealing with the inevitable crush Dec1'st.

From what I've heard, no they're all still charging. Ones that do it for free get in trouble.
People fight too much on this forum. Can't we all just be friends?

Yeah, they're not - neither is Fido, either - read my rant in the Fido subforum about that. They had the balls to try to charge me $50 to unlock a $60 handset I bought outright.

Milking it right to the end, huh?
