New $25 talk and text only plan

    https://www.tmonews.com/2017/10/t-mo...per-month/amp/

Won't appeal to many, but I guess having the option is good. I thought TMobile recently just got rid of this plan on the prepaid side though.

    Found the prepaid version

Seems weird they would discontinue it on prepaid in January, only to bring it on as a postpaid option in October lol ah well, a good option for someone who doesn't really use mobile data.

Call it the "T-Mobile 75+ Plan" to appeal to those who miss the pretty much data-free 1990s cell phone era.

I know someone that would love this plan and would switch to T-Mobile (they already want tmobile) in a heartbeat to get it.

MINT SIM, which uses T-mobile’s network, offers UTnT plus 2 GB of data for $15 a month plus taxes.

Not bad. Looks like a good option. As long as they get the T-Mobile network at a low price they will be happy. I'll get them to check mint out

Will this TMobile plan still get Tuesdays and phone financing? My 70 year old neighbor asked me and said they want TMobile but don't use data

I imagine it would. Actually that's the only logical reason I can think of them discontinuing it on prepaid and only offering it on postpaid, the possibility of getting more revenue with financing a device.

Why would you not go with a Verizon MVNO with unlimited data, text, and 1GB for the same price?

Because of the propensity for fly-by-night MVNO's to suddenly go all "PTel" or "Defense Mobile" and vanish with a few days notice, taking a month or two of your money and your phone number with them, never to be seen again.

Happened to me with PTel and Harbor Mobile. I will pay a few bucks more and keep my number with one of the the carriers or their wholly owned NVNO's.

Sent from my SM-T580 using HoFo mobile app

They've had bad experiences like that with some mvnos so they are carrier exclusive now. My neighbor said if he ever gets a second line he would opt for the 55+ and not use the data. Not bad for the price
