So, basically, fu*k you to "all" Canadians. WTH, Bell? So many reasons to not even consider this knock off carrier. What is the point?

25GB Cap? DIY Telnus prepaid/Koodo unlimited EVDO internet (for $10 per 2 months, to keep account "Active"), Max 3Mbps download speed, if you roam on Bell (free), then you get non-NATed IP

    I like that!
Especially “The plans offer a select allotment of full-speed data, after which customers can continue to use data – but at speeds throttled to around 128Kbps “.
Similar to chatr, who throttles you down to 64kbps, making your phone barely usable.

Called it, lol! If you have to hide under a different name to make yourself look competitive, there is something very wrong with the market

In addition to their cellular network service, Lucky Mobile is planning to launch an app in 2018 that allows customers use talk and text over Wi-Fi
I just noticed this. I will admit, I think this is actually a cool feature network wise, but these plans are not attractive at all. $40 for 1GB full speed data is a f*****g joke

Isn't it just as expensive as the Big 3? Also what's the point of zones when you're on Bell's network anyways... Another cash grab another fail for competition.

^Yes just as Expensive as Chatr. Couple of things that are slightly better then Chatr are that you get LTE throttled at 3Mbps where Chatr is 2G & 3G at 3Mbps and Lucky has no overages/Pay Per use charges according to there website. So you don't have to worry about accidentally losing/draining your Prepaid balance. Now One Slight disadvantage I noticed according to there website is With Chatr your billing date can change depending on when you top up .Eg: say your Billing cycle runs from 5th to 4th of the month & one month you decide you don't want to top up on the 5th so you decide to top up on the 20th of the month now your billing cycle runs from the 20th to 19th so you can literally change your billing cycle to what ever date you want with Lucky Mobile your billing Date always remains the same, so if one month you decide to not top up for a few days after your billing date has passed they will prorate your monthly fees rather then changing your billing Date. So I like how chatr does it. Other then these couple of advantages/disadvantages they are identical.

They do differ in coverage. Bell’s Lucky Mobile seems to have almost identical zoned coverage to what Chatr announced in the beginning of May this year.

When I was in Victoria, BC at the end of May, the Chatr zoned coverage I had seems identical to what Lucky Mobile shows today. But since June, Chatr added the Butchart Gardens and all the way to the ferry at Swartz Bay. I wish I had that coverage back then.

Lucky Mobile just covers Kelowna, BC whereas Chatr covers to well south of Penticton to well north of Vernon.

Since June, Chatr expanded their eastern GTA coverage east of Courtice ON to well east of highway 115 going to Peterborough. Lucky Mobile covers to just east of Courtice.

So it basically looks like Lucky Mobile copied Chatr’s zoned coverage verbatim and Chatr’s prices verbatim as of the beginning of May. Chatr expanded zoned coverage since then, but Lucky Mobile didn’t copy Chatr’s expansion.

^They didn't expand anything all they did was made the zones bigger & added more zones. Remember Lucky is just starting out so eventually they will add more zones
