    Question Siri

Does anyone know why Siri is only on the 5 and not the others? I want to switch but I use Siri when I travel

    Thx

AFAIK, Siri is on all the iphones - SE, 6, 8 and X.
Do a google search and you will find info on how to start it on the iphone 8 and X versions.

Where did you get this info???

Siri is on just about all iphones and iPads usually when you set up a new device it will ask you to set up Siri at that time, if not at this time was clicked you may need to go to settings to authorize it now. Check to see if it's turned on..........

Siri will not work without a data connection.

If I remember correctly, the "S" on that model indicated that the phone had Siri. I don't think that designation was on any prior iPhones. All current iPhones have Siri now.

The iPhones 5 an 6 had "S" model as an upgrade from the models without the "S." Apple went from the 7 directly to the 8. There was also a "3GS." The "S" indicated faster performance at first. Siri was introduced through a software upgrade and not a model upgrade.

My point is that the iPhones prior to the 4S didn't use the "S" designation.

Apple introduced Siri with the launch of the 4S which coincided with a new iOS release. Apple frequently launches a new phone and a new iOS at the same time. A voice assistant app was launched prior to Siri and the 4S with Apple acquiring the app maker. Several features in iOS have been acquired from 3rd parties.

After IOS updated, Siri is gone from the text or email.
