Just wonder about port-in sim card

I got an iPhone port-in deals from Cricket. I just wonder how did you deal with brand new inactivated sim card? Is there any way to get refund?

What are you talking about, the sim card is already in the phone when they send it, a refund for what?

I did not activated yet. It's a brand new sim card. I used my exist sim card for new iPhone.

The sim card is brand new and I did not go through port-in process yet.

Isn't the month of service attached to the sim card, what happens if you don't port, do they charge you?

The phone came with sim card separately (brand new) and I already paid month of service. I just decide not to port my number.

The SIM is already provisioned and can not be used again for new activation. It is possible without activating the phone for 1 month Cricket will ask you to send the phone and SIM back for a full refund or charge you for the list price of the phone since the phone is subsidized by Cricket.

I was always curious what cricket would do if you didn't follow through on the port, I remember porting probably a year or so ago and from what I remember you had to enter you info before your order is even complete?
