    USVI Report

I'm on the Virgin Islands right now... St. Thomas.

AT&T has LTE here finally. It was HSPA for the longest time.

    I'm seeing Band 30 10mhz and Band 4 at 5Mhz. No CA.

Speeds are slow.. 300k down 1.5 Mbps up.

Tmobile still has not updated their network. It has no data service.

Tmobile is roaming on Innovative VI / Viya / Comnet at 3g speeds.

It seems most people use AT&T on the islands. Sprint has a few sites. It does blow my mind that T-Mobile actually still has 2G only sites. They clearly care about their PR network so it’s a little odd the USVI get no attention. I was generally happy with AT&T on St. John last year.

It's probably people who live in PR buying T-Mobile versus visitors to USVI, and people who are going to travel to the USVI are going to have AT&T or Verizon.

Love that AT&T has LTE in USVI. T-Mobile got 600MHZ spectrum for this market.

T-Mobile owns no Sub-1 Ghz spectrum in PR other than the new 600 Mhz Band 71. T-Mobile has had crews to get their other AWS-1 spectrum going again. However T-Mobile owns 25x25 Mhz of 600 Mhz Band 71 and due to the Hurricane the FCC has agreed to move all 19 TV station in PR to their new Rebacked channel assignments by Aug 1, 2018 to free up all Band 71 on PR. USVI is on the same schedule but T-Mobile only owns 10x10 B71 there.
