Since AT&T has sold their 600 Mhz are they deploying their Band 66 yet?

AT&T has sold all their 600 Mhz spectrum they won in the FCC Auction to LB License Co, LLC in Miami, FL.

Since AT&T spent $18.2B in 2015 on AWS-3 Band 66 have they started to deploy their Band 66. The reason I ask is the thread that AT&T is deploying 5G this year and it is easier to deploy on spectrum that doesn't have legacy 4G LTE customers instead of re-farming towers from 4G to 5G.

AWS-3 will be used for LTE. 5G will be on 28Ghz

B66 has been spotted in a few places on AT&T but they aren't widely rolling it out. Only on sites that need the capacity it seems.

Here's hoping that when the firsntnet build starts that they just slap all the spectrum they have on existing and new towers.

I've spotted ity in multiple locations in Brooklyn and Queens. Others have spotted it in Manhattan. Unfortunately, the uplink hasn't been cleared yet, so it's SCC, downlink only.

Ah......uplink spectrum hasn't been cleared yet? Ok I didn't know that. So if you are searching for it and are manually locked onto B66 in Ssrvice Mode then it may not display due to it being a SCC.

Will never happen, so I’d advise against holding your breath.

There's one part of it still being used that apparently has until 2020 to be cleared. All the other channels being used have been moved way before the due date. I'm hoping T is helping with the process, because it seems there's only 2 channels still being used in the band while like 10 or 12 others have been relocated, some with completion dates in 2020.

Simple answer: Yes. AT&T is actively deploying B66 nationwide.

It's not that simple. There's structural, leasing, FCC licensing, and equipment availability issues amongst other things that prevent a carrier from just going all out on every site.
