samsung sch 3530 users . please help

    Hello cellphone gurus,

I am going in for my first cellphone.

I am in Toronto Canada and someone wants to sell his SCH 3530. I would need assistance from anyone who can tell me if I should go ahead for the deal, and what would you suggest to help me make a decision. What pros and cons manifest primarily on this samsung model.

I you are in Toronto, which plan and which provider do you think is the best.

    Thank you very much

You are going to hear mostly negative comments regarding the 3530. I bought a new one from Bell Mobility, had it for a week, and ended up returning it and getting a T130. I had no problems or complaints with the 3530 (except for shorter than expected battery charge), but all the negative comments regarding the wiring to the earpiece, as well as all the other complaints, persuaded me to upgrade. I believe I seen most of those complaints on epinions.com or amazon.com.

Overall, I am glad I exchanged it, since the T130 is much smaller and has more features, but it's only been 5 days, so who knows. I am very impressed with the battery life as well, as I have not charged it once in 5 days, and there is still 1 bar left on the battery strength indicator. My other phone (Qualcomm 2700)would max out at like 2 days regardless if you used it or not.

If you are going to get one, my suggestion would be to make sure you baby the flip on it.

And the 3500 series samsungs barely make it 2 days w/moderate talk time. The thing that bugs me about the phone is the number of actual wires in the phone, as opposed to others where it's all metal to metal contact.
