S56 default PIN

Not trying anything non-legit... Bought this phone from Best Buy for Cingular last week. When I go to menu->setup->security->codes I can enter Pin, Pin2, and Phonecode. It let me change phone code but not pin or pin2. Tried 0000 for a default pin1 and now it says I have 2 tries left.

Is this the code to unlock the phone? If so I can leave it alone, don't need it unlocked. But I thought it was the security code for my phone. If I check the "Pin Control" box on that menu won't it require PIN when I turn the phone off and on?

I really did try search on this but I got nothing on S56 and PIN.

Did you try to call Cingular support? Seems like no.
Well, I did and they told me that default PIN is 1111, it worked fine for my S56.
