    bOGUS 411 CHARGES

    Hi
I too have been a victim of ATT bogus 411 charges for the last two years. I finally had to have it Blocked (5.00/month) It started out one or two a month and over a 3 month peroid it increased to over twenty. We also had International 411 charges. They sent me a list of numbers that were called that were totally unfamiliar to me and a number of them were to Credit Unions and I'v never been a member of any cu.
Think about it. If ATT charged just a third of their customers 1 411 call a month.... that would be quite a windfall....... millions!

To top it off they said I made a 411 call over the internet. I have no way of doing so. The state (TEXAS) PUC commision won't even consider investigating.
If anyone has a solution I'd appreciate it.

I guess it just shows that using the search function can cut both ways.

And if they can get a quarter of the remaining to pay $5.00 a month to block such calls, that would also be a wind fall of millions, and guaranteed to come every month without the effort of planting bogus calls on peoples bills. Never, ever trust AT&T they will screw you in a heartbeat for a penny.

i just received my bill and noticed the unauthorized 411 charges. i called sprint and after one hour and a repeated long winded excuses, sprint granted me partial credit. unfortanately this may have been occurring long than i am aware of because never checked bills ( shame on me, i know). anyhow, i will keep closer look on bill.

wonder if anyone has seek legal advice or reached out to anyone that might be interested in pursuing or investigating these fraud.

Holy six year old topic, Batman!
Verizon Wireless - More bars in more places on the now network.
Every time you ask whether you can use a VZW smartphone without a data plan, God kills a kitten.
And by God, I mean me - and by kitten, I mean many kittens. So many kittens.

In case of Sprint it might be something different (considering this is essentially focused on VZW). In any case though, at least for VZW, this doesn't really seem to be an issue given how old the thread is and how much attention (or basically lack of it) it's gotten over the past 6 or so years since it was initially started.
