It is also said that he convinced the - at that time - heathens of the power of God (the one and only ) by slotting his hand into a glove and placing it in a fire.

When he removed the glove, there was not a simple piece of scorched skin o anything like that, the hand had taken no damage from the fire.

His point by doing this - apparently, stupid thing - was to prove that his - Christian - God would make sure that he wasn't harmed.

Thereafter, the heathens were convinced, and yada-yada, here we are now...

Don't you just love stories like that?

And if the forum "Bluetooth" was to be spelled correctly, it would probably look a bit screwed up, since it would require the use of the letter "å".

"Harald Blåtand", sounds pretty lame, doesn't it?

    Lets keep it English.

    Ok here is the story.
They had a little blue lite blinking on the device so they were going to call it blue lite, K-Mart had a fit. then the lite bulb went on and it became blue stuff, marketing had problems with that. Along came the American association of denistry gave them 1 million $ and they settled on Blue Tooth. The morale of this story is dont belive everything you read But have fun reading it.

    heres another story....

Bluetooth was developed by Ericsson, because they are not selling much phone at that time, so they deiced to augment their income by selling accessories like Bluetooth....

    YOUR ALL WRONG

It was called bleutooth simply because he united everything together. Bluetooth is a a technology from the start has been made by a group of organisations (eg ibm etc) that wanted to make a way of connecting different devices together in a uniform fashion.

I suspect this is the reason why you need to obtain licenses for your bluetooth dongle so they can make sure that everyone is using the same standard.

hence why you can connect a phone to a pda, ur pc or ur fridge!!

the point was all these companies have come together just like bluetooth had did.

I always thought BlueTooth was basicly name after Infared!!??

I thought is only matter of level up on the color scale... Maybe the next big wireless tech will be Hypergreen or PurpleFinger or something along that line...
