Can anyone confirm that emails to 686XXXXXX@movistar.com get through? Do Movistar customers need some feature or service enabled on their phone?Originally posted by Federico76
T-Mobile to all carriers in Spain(Movistar, Vodafone, Amena)
Sending(get response "pending", then after three days "failed")
Receiving(receive all SMS from all three carriers)
BTW, I was sent this method of sending email from SMS only handsets:
To send email from your handset, simply access your messages menu and choose the option to write a message. You will want to enter your e-mail in the following format:
Address (space) Subject Line#(space) Message Text
For example:
John@aol.com Hi# How are you?
Once you complete your e-mail, send the message to "500".
It works for me from my SE T300.

T-Mo <-- Australia (don't know the carrier; sending to Australia doesn't work for me)

T-Mobile use which GSM in US? 1900 and...??
Sorry, I haven't tried that, but it certainly works TMO->Cellcom, at least to the the 052 area code. BTW, in April the Israeli Ministry of Comms. will be adding a digit to all cellphone numbers and each cell company will get a single area code identifier.Originally posted by littlefuzzbear

I believe T-Mobile only have GSM 1900... but I don't think GSM band have any relationship with International SMS capabilityOriginally posted by Donkey

Isn't European use GSM 900 over there? I thought I read it somewhere. AS for international use with SMS, does it mean it is another SIM card to use for traveling aboard?

? denotes receivers never reply me back, so that I don't know if I can receive from those carriers, but most likely T-Mobile can receive from them.
NATEL is the brand name of Swisscom's domestic postpaid provider. For some reason, they can receive my sms, but I never receive theirs.Originally posted by quadrun1
