reactivated old phone number.. used sim card.. not working, help?

ok here's the scenario:

i had an i90c laying around that i did a complete oem roxy housing on and sold it to my girlfriends sister. i didnt have a SIM card for it so i bought one off ebay. the SIM was used, and when it got here, it still had the info from the person that sent it to me (phone number, DC number, phonebook)

anyway, so i call nextel Thursday night to activate a number that i had on standby to the SIM card i just got so that the i90c would work. they said that it was supposed to be connected by now and it's showing as active. but when i turn on the phone, the status light blinks red and the screen says "ready" . if i go to the my info.. it still has the old info. i tried DC'in it from my phone and i get a user not reachable error. theres a service restricted error when you try to make a call on it too. is there anyway i can kind of force my dc and phone number that i wanted it to have on there and take off the old one? anybody know why this isnt working? i'm just assuming that once the number gets activated to a sim card, the phone matches the new info to the sim thats in there.. but this one isnt doing it.. help is appreciated,.. thanks

Try a Master Reset. It should force the phone to download all of the new information.

If a master reset doesn't clear it, your activation in the system is screwed... Call care or tech support and try again.

ok.. now how do i assign the number to be dialed for voicemail? when i press messages and voicemail to call, i get an invalid number error

nevermind that last post.. i figured it out. you have to have a voicemail left so that you receive the message that says you have a voicemail.. from there you just dial it and go through the voicemail setup.
