5% off Bill if you sign for another year

I just got off the phone with CS about a billing issue and she offered me 5% off my bill each month if I extend my contract for another year.

That works out to about $7 per month on my bill. IMO not worth it.

How about earlier night and weekend minutes, lower monthly add a phone charges, free unlimited PCS to PCS, free roaming, or free vision? Then maybe I would have exteneded.

Having 4 lines with a $20 add a phone on each additional line is just getting outrageous. I am going to definitely switch to a carrier with a lower add a phone rate as soon as my contract is up.

Yeah, I got the same offer and took it. But in my case the line getting the contract was a free add-a-phone. The main line already had a contract, but the 5% discount comes off the whole plan.

So I basically got 5% off for doing nothing.

Just a reminder that Sprint PCS has employee-liable discount arrangements with many employers. Call Sprint and ask if there is a corporate discount available through your company. With many companies this can be rather substantial; one major local employer in the Seattle area negotiated a 25% discount for its employees, while another major employer negotiated a 20% discount.

All you have to do to get the discount is ask for it, and change your account to the billing cycle your company is on. Nothing about your plan or contract changes otherwise. Considering you could potentially get a much larger discount simply by virtue of being employed, it's a much better option to pursue than Sprint's paltry 5% offer for a 1 year re-up.
