I drive a old 1990 Lincoln Town Car. I have 118k miles on it.
It's a very safe car, and should last awhile. It's not that I can not afford a newer car. It's just I like this one

But I've seen those in New York many times. EL is more sophisticated and mature looking car. I wonder what's the MSRP for EL? is it more than civics...

And nothing is cheaper than a cheap guy (read "cannot afford new car smell") to get a cheap used car, then blame brand new cars having cheap plastics.
Give me a break! My car is over 10 years old and the only easily noticeable problem with the interior is a small crack on the grill of the driver side front speaker, and the top corners of the airbag are a little warped. If that is your definition of "beaten to death," then I don't even know how to respond to that.
Where did you get this crap about being cheap and not getting a new car because they have cheap plastics? I didn't get a new car because I don't need a new car for my first car, I prefer older cars, and my car is PAID FOR. If you have enough money to only buy brand new cars, well have at it buddy.

I have problems starting my car when it's cold, say about 50-55 deg in the morning.
No problems starting..
I wish it was 55 when that pic was taken.. It was around 0 to -10 at that time. That was around late Novmber. A good part of this winter it was below -5 all day. It is now just starting to stay around 35 to 45 all day. It will not go above 55 and stay till around the end of March or in to April..
