Question Which one, Palm T2 or Ipaq 1945 for my T616???

So I am looking to sell my zire71 and get a bluetooth pda to go with my T616. I have been looking at the T2 and 1945, now I don't want to start a war about palm vs. ppc. There are two features I want, first I want to be able to dial from my contact lists. It needs to send the number to the phone then disconnect so the phone can send the call to my M3000. Second I want to be able to send an receive SMS from my pda, thru the phone.

Thanks for any and all help!!

Anoter option could possibly be the Sony UX50 PDA, its got bluetooth and wifi (wireless LAN funtion). I'm actually waiting for mine, once i receive it, i'll post a little review mainly speaking about its bluetooth and wifi functions.

    Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.76 [en] (PalmOS; U; WebPro3.0; Palm-Arz1))

I use a palm TT to dial my SE T39m routinely. I imagine the newer models from palm & SE will do the same. I don't SMS, but there are a bunch of utilities on palmgear for it.

(I'm posting from my TT via bluetooth)

iPAQ 1945 no questions asked. I have a 2215 which is an 1945 but a bit bigger and has a CF slot. In Contacts on the PPC, i tap (which selects) and hold (which acts as a right click) then choose "Dial via Bluetooth" If the person has alot of numbers associated with their name then you select which number (Home, Mobile, Work, Fax?) you'd like then hit "Dial Number" It sends the number, phone dials and you don't even have to take your phone out your pocket as in your case the headset would connect when the call is "Connecting"
    - yeah, don't listen to that guy!

Palm TT is one handed - you don't even have to take off the clear cover. No tapping, selecting, or menus:

1- Press address button with thumb.

2 -Just scroll down to the name using the 5 way navigator. You can scroll by first letter if you click right.

3 When the correct contact is highlighted; press the button and click right again. It automatically dials via bluetooth.

So I would say TT "one" hand down.

If you go the Palm route, see if you can stretch your budget to a T3. They really are superb.
