LOL, i dont have a digital camera or a scanner, i will try to get somebody at work with a picture phone to take a pic of it.

There are tons of these phones all the time on ebay for sale.

You can call ATT, i dont care if you work for them or not, they will tell you that a gsm 900 phone will work on their network in the states. The only problem you might have is that your international phone software might freeze when you put in the SIM card. But mine didnt freeze. So....?

Ok cool . If AT&T is telling you that they have GSM 900, then someone must really be misinformed. It could be that they're forgetting to add the 1 before the 900 to make it 1900. If that's the case, then that clears up the whole confusion, AT&T has GSM 1900.

Ok..this is getting out of hand....I dont care what the rep told you,or what kinda crack your smoking to make u say that 900 works in The US. But the only two freakin frequencies that work in NA is 800(850) and 1900

I dont see anywere that says nething about 900mhz in this At&T article

    Here

Again Not one of these US providers use 900...I wonder y...hmm b/c they cant.

Once again..scroll down on this page untill u see USA,and what do u not
    see...900

If you still dont believe me...Ill be more than glad to post more websites backing me up

P.S. sorry for saying u r on crack..just trying to get a point around no hard feelin's

I second that, pics are the only solid form of proof.

unless he is a liar, my guess is he somehow got a phone with GSM1900 configured 8110. that is the only possibility which is far from being true.

That is very true and it would mean having to replace all of the hardware components to add the extra. I'm sure a lot of us remember the dual band Motorola V70 (GSM 1800/1900) deal from earlier this year. It's possible but it sounds like a lot of hassle just to add GSM 1900 to an older phone like the 8110.

Ok, now this is good news. I'm looking to get a Nokia 8110 in the US. I've never owned a cell phone nor do I care about it having any kind of special features. I mainly want the phone because I saw it in "The Matrix" and it looks slick, and of course I would like to be able to use it. So is replacing the hardware something that I would be able to do myself or would a professional have to do it?

I forgot to mention this in my previous post, but is there a way to add non melodic ringtones onto the phone? I'm looking for the ringtones that are featured in the movie...that's assuming that those tones aren't already preprogrammed into the phone. And I just found this a few minutes ago...is the Nokia 8146 the same phone as the 8110?

    Here is a link to a 8146. http://i1.ebayimg.com/02/i/01/0a/fa/38_1.JPG
Here is a link to the 8110 for comparison purposes http://i13.ebayimg.com/01/i/01/08/77/79_1.JPG

I answered my own above question. I was hoping that the 8146 was an American phone.
