    Question danger hiphop

    any recent news on this they havent updated their website in forever? I know that they were planning on releasing at the beginning of summer but they havent had any hype about them yet. Though they were in the new playboy.

    They are beginning to distribute demo units for evaluation in the field. Look for them to be released later this summer.

    Its actually the hiptop - you can see it on phonescoop.com

    I don't think I'll be seeing mine come in until next month but I have been told my pocket PC is being packaged for shipping so I can't complain.

    I just applied to be a product tester... man that would be cool, a free phone to play with and all I have to do is tell them what I like and dont like about it. I want one!

    did they say you get to keep the products for free? Most of the time they will sell you the products at a reduced price but not keep them for free.

    they didnt say anything... i only applied to be a tester. Still even at a reduced price it would rock, cause i think i read an earlier post that they are gonna keep cost under $200(could have been less, long time ago.) I just wanna play with one.

    I didn't even realize you could be a tester....if I wasn't already getting them for free I would certainly apply for that. How did you apply?

    i applied and I didn't get one....probably cuz I work for Voicestream and they want people without that bias....

    Well I don't have any new info, but I'm definetly looking forward to the Hiptop's release. The last I heard was $25 a month for unlimited data. If that is true, thats an amazing price in comparison to other wireless data alternatives

    I'm looking for a new service in Pittsburgh ... so if the hiptop is really going to be under $200 and the service is around $40 is voice + data I'm going to wait until the end of July (last time I heard).

    I know that you should never buy the first generation products, but I think I'll jump on the hiptop ....
