Seems SE slipped a slighty updated update online. Having been one of the first to get through and update, I orginally had R2A10. I'm up with my brethren now -- RC.

How come my phone fw never changed from R2A024 after the update? The CDA fw is now R2B01 but the phone fw hasn't changed.

How do I flash the phone fw as well?

This just goes to prove one of my favorite anti-motivational sayings: "Persistence may pay off after time, but procrastination pays off immediately!" However, it would go against the grain in this group not to try to be the first! Alls well that ends well.

Larry, I agree, sometimes first in isn't the best thing to do. I just reflashed again and updated my CDA to R2C01. Always got to have the latest!!

I assure you, I wasn't trying to be first. As for re-flashing. Maybe our "club" needs to wear large raincoats.

To all the peeps who had the "Operater devices " issue.
SE has fixed the problem and you should be able to upgrade your firmware without a problem.

    Also,
Does anyone who flashed their phone have the Digital bluespoon.
If so, has it been effected in a positive or negitve way?

It seems for the mo that contracted p900s can not be flashed

    Hi all

I sent an e-mail to se customer care centre about updating f/w when you have a contracted (ie on orange ect) p900 heres the reply :-

Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre.

In regards to your question,i am afraid to tell you that at the moment are sony ericsson service centres do not support
this yet.If you require anymore infomation about this please call us on 08705 237 237.

So it appears theres nothing we can do for the moment although i am going to be contacting orange and see if something can be done.

um, that's good to know. will give it a spin later to see if it will work on mine. been trying since last saturday to flash the bugger.

CDA162003/5 of mine absolutely refused to flash, with the warning message that the operator didn't approve. wait, is this the "operator device" issue that you are referring to? errr...

and i just spent so much money on my P900!

    over and out...

booger, just tried it. still having the operator disallowing use of this service message. this just plain sucks.

nateblonde, how did you find out that SE has tackled this issue? were you facing the same problem too?

does anybody know what the Java applet looks for in the phone, to qualify it for a f/w update? perhaps there's a workaround to this.

can anybody shed any light on this matter?
