    Please respond,3390 unlock help

Okay here is the deal.I have a Nokia 3390 from Fido and would like to use it on the Rogers network.
I do not have the M-bus cable yet cause I don't know if I need it or not?Searching this forum is eye hurting trying to find a complete and easy to follow tutorial on how to unlock the phone.
In case you are wondering I do have the Rogers sim card already from a friend, they sent him another one and I just need to get it hooked up with Rogers for pay as you go service.
Can some one please tell me how to unlock the phone so it will be use-able on the Rogers network? I don't know if I have to just type in some codes for it to work or do I have to buy the cable and use the software? ( Don't know which software either)
I'm am totally new to this and just found this website a few months ago and just now have the time to post my really long question.
I don't wanna get bumped or flamed for asking the same thing other people are but like I said before i'm totally new and would like some help from anyone that can help.
Is what I ask possiable as well?
Can some one please let me know asap as I can go and buy the cable if needed tom. morning and try doing this as I would like to be able to take my phone camping and be able to use it for emergencys.
    Thanks for reading and help.

ok well to answer some of your questions

    1. u can take it to get unlocked.. i know tubbie18 does 3390 unlocking.. and he has the best feedback around the forums (not to be mean to everyone else, but look at the pages of good feedback he gets! )

    2. if u've been w/ fido for @ least a year, u can get the unlock code from them and they'll teach u to unlock it.. (this option is the best way to go, and it's legit hehe...)

    3. rogers currently DOES NOT offer 'pay as you go' for their gsm network.. and probably won't ever...
