Is the firmware that much different? I thought it was just WAP/MMS settings and maybe some themes/wallpapers/ringtones. Wouldnt it be a different version number? V 2.14.1 is whats on my, Cingular branded.

well provider firmware can lock out certain functions where the generic firmware wont...thats the difference here really...

i have an unbranded 7610 and it accepted an op logo for about 2 seconds, and this happened about 2 days after i set it as an op logo. then it went away. and i've tried all variations on how to do this including searching the forums. i wonder if it is a sim card issue... but then again, it did work for 2 seconds. which would lead me to believe that it can work again! i shall prevail!

sorry, i'm a fan of the movie braveheart. but hopefully i'll figure this out .

Ive come to the conclusion that Op logo is a waste of time for me. Reason being that when you use a Op logo with theme, it will place a white box that the logo sits in, unless you get it to match the background of your theme, doesnt seem like it would be nice to have that messing your theme colors up =)

That's why you create your own logo. It's not that hard to make. I was able to change the logo on my 7610, but can't seem to get it to stick on my 6260. Cingular seems to have two different MCC/MNC combos now. One is 310_17_0.bmp and the other is 310_380_0.bmp. I guess it might be the att merger. The 310_380_0.bmp works on my 6260 sometimes when it roams I guess, but I can't get the 310_17_0.bmp to work, which is the network that is usually used. Has anyone been able to change their oplogo on a 6260? Please help!

Same here, i was playing around some more and was in a library. My op logo showed up for the whole time. I went outside to make a call, about 10mins later and it was back to normal. I think I was picking up the weaker signal of ATT, but Fexplorer set it to the number for ATT network. So when cingular shows up, it doesnt have the correct number to show the op.

Im using the 64k sim in my Cingular branded 6620.

The carriers aren't limited to having one MCC assigned. T-Mobile USA, for instance, has several.

So this would mean making a bunch of duplicates with the several MNC_MCC filenames if you want to cover them all.

Look in your phone's ROM drives enough and you'll find a large text file that, for each country and carrier, lists them all...

the theme i used to use on my 7610/6600/6630 has a white background...so it doesnt affect the op logo itself
